Vacation Day 4 – Sunday

Awaken at 6am to thick fog and a balcony too damp to sit on, but after coffee, relaxing, shower, and getting dressed, by 8:45am the sun was peeking through.

At 9:15, we’re heading out to the Tin a Fish for breakfast. It’s still a bit foggy! But the water seems clearer now. Two breakfast burritos – very good.

We were poop-bombed by some birds on the pier just before coming ashore. Home to shower – again!

Out to the Carillo Park, the visitor center, viewing all of Coronado and San Diego. Drove through Coronado hoping to maybe stop at the Hotel Del Coronado for dinner, but there was some sort of bit event going on, so traffic was a mess.

Running low on gas, so filled up, then stopped in at Pier South’s Sea 180 restaurant. They weren’t serving dinner yet – their special “social hour”. We both had a couple of drinks and some delicious appetizers: ground lamb sliders and pulled pork empanadas. Very nice, helpful staff.

Walked north from the hotel up to Palm Ave to see the shops – mostly closed, since it’s after 5pm Sunday.

Back to the condo, played games, drank soda and munched on cashews and almonds. By 7:30 the sun is gone behind the low clouds, and it’s quite cool.

See Day 5.
